Detroit's 1946 Automotive Golden Jubilee was a celebration of World's Fair proportions , full of flashy cars, thronging crowds, and the first-ever peacetime use of atomic energy. |
THE 1946 AUTOMOTIVE GOLDEN JUBILEE: Detroit's Forgotten "World's Fair" is curated solely from the extensive archives of the Burton Historical Collection and the National Automotive History Collection. The exhibit is curated by Jared Rosenbaum and Rachel Mackow with Mark Patrick, Director of Special Collections, and Barbara Thompson and Laura Kotsis, NAHC librarians. This exhibit represents the third in a series of partnerships between the Detroit Public Library and The Palace of Culture.
